Richard Black pitched a masterpiece, as the Bears shut out Twin Valley 6-0 in the first game of a doubleheader at Bear Stadium. Black needed only 74 pitches in his complete game outing to earn the win, scattering four hits and striking out five. The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth, when the Bears chased starter Kevin Eden after the first four batters reached base safely and the Bears had taken a 2-0 lead. They would go on to plate four runs in the inning and two the next inning on their way to the victory. Connor Moyer and Travis Schiller both went 2-3 for the Bears, scoring a combined four times. Jayden Goebel went 2-3 for Twin Valley.
