Ryan Garvey’s incredible, diving catch ended a late Boyertown rally as the Red Sox defeated the Bears, 5-4, in an exciting non-league legion exhibition game at Bear Stadium. The Bears trailed 5-0 going into the bottom of the fifth inning but put back-to-back 2-run innings together before Garvey’s catch ended the second 2-run inning. The Bears stole 8 bases in the game, including two each by Nich Ellis and Cole Kratz, while Travis Schiller had 2 hits. For Spring City, leadoff hitter David Ruckman had 2 hits, a stolen base, and scored twice.
