Gabe Bunn’s single through a drawn-in infield in the bottom of the eighth inning drove home Ryan Graff with the winning run as the Owls nipped the Bears, 2-1, in a pitcher’s duel at Owl’s Field at Ted Palka Park. Graff began the inning at second base as per the new rule for extra-innings, then took third on a wild pitch. Bunn’s hard grounder between third and short then drove him home. Bunn also got the win with 3 innings in relief of Ryan Kelly; the two pitchers combined to limit the Bears to 2 hits and 4 walks while striking out 12. For the Bears, Colin Eisenhard reached base all 3 times that he batted on a pair of walks and a single; he scored the lone Boyertown run.
