Matt Smola and Shane O’Connor combined on a 3-hit shutout as Norchester won an early-season divisional game with Boyertown, 2-0. The Norchester duo scattered 5 hits while striking out 6. Boyertown starter Connor Houck limited the Bulldogs to 4 hits over 6 2/3 innings, but the Bulldogs scored a pair of unearned runs for the win. Terner Whitten scored both Norchester runs, while Gavin Slaughter had 2 of Boyertown’s 3 hits.
